Our goal is to raise $5,000 for LP21's Bomba and Plena Community Workshops for children.

Donations from the 2023 BPCW Holiday Drive will be used to bring special Guest Artists to expand our curriculum and educate the children on Afro-Puerto Rican history and culture, and to purchase folkloric clothing for these young students as they continue their journey learning, experiencing and performing these traditions.

As a registered non-profit organization, LP21 relies on participators like you to keep our Cultural Legacy and Arts in Education programs running each year. Los Pleneros de la 21 has spent the last 40 years developing and teaching programs focused on African-related Puerto Rican folk traditions. This has been made possible by donations from individuals like you to sustain these important efforts. Your donations support cultural legacy initiatives, lecture-demonstrations in schools, participation in traditional community festivals, apprenticeships, and classes and workshops, especially with children -- the next generation of Bomba and Plena leaders.
