Bomba and PLena aDult Workshops
Los Pleneros de la 21 offers Bomba and Plena drumming and dancing classes for adults. BPAW classes* are beginner friendly and are flexible -- join as many classes as you can. No minimum required.
The classes are designed to help you master the basics of Bomba and Plena, while creating an environment for you to further develop and learn.
April BPAW CLASSES
The dates for the April 2024 cycle of BPAW classes are:
Drumming classes - Mondays,
April 8, 15, 22
Dance classes - Tuesdays,
April 9, 16, 23
All classes are in person from 6PM to 7:30 pm at the Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center, 1680 Lexington Ave, Room 213
El Barrio, NYC 10029
LeAna Lopez will lead on the dance courses, while Nelson "Mateo" Gonzalez will lead the percussion courses.
Cost is $21 per class. Registration is below.
Instruments and practice skirts are provided for in-class use.
