Los Pleneros de la 21 is proud to announce the 30th season of the Bomba and Plena Community Workshops!
Kicking off Saturday, October 20th, starting at 10:15AM at the Julia de Burgos Center, in East Harlem, BPCW/30 is New York’s longest standing and most successful arts-education community program, providing instruction about the practice, performance, and celebration of Puerto Rican Bomba and Plena music and dance and related traditions, to Puerto Ricans, Latinos, and others, for three decades.
Since 1989, BPCW has evolved as the place where youth and adults have come to learn and embrace powerful modes of self-expression, cultural awareness and a sense of community, through active and dynamic participation in Bomba and Plena traditions and other related traditions.
