Adults – One of Los Pleneros de la 21’s most popular programs returns for it 7th year with special 2 hour intensive sessions that a unique integration of Bomba and AND Plena through combined dance and percussive training of BOTH genres in a SINGLE classroom setting. For 5 Consecutive Saturdays, students will be taught by master LP21 drummers and dancers. Classes are every Saturday from October 22nd to November 19th from 11:30 am –1:30 pm. Children/Youth – Los Pleneros de la 21 proudly present the 17th Anniversary of the Bomba and Plena Childrens Workshops. This year, as one of LP21’s oldest and most recognized programs will incorporate for the first time workshops on PUPPETRY into the Bomba and Plena Curriculum. Well known Venezuelan theater artist, Erika Rojas, will conduct this innovative elements while instructor Juan Usera will teach students Bomba and Plena singing, dancing and percussive playing.
